Hotel Spotlight: The M Resort Las Vegas
There is a certain atmosphere that is present when staying at a boutique resort. It is as if the quaint feeling supplants every aspect of the hotel experience to produce a laid-back customer service gem. The M Resort in Las Vegas can do that. It can do a lot of things.
Located just off Interstate 15 on the southern edge of town The M Resort doesn’t really feel like an off-strip property. It feels like a luxury resort set in a desert oasis within close proximity to everything you want but with a great divide from everything you are trying to avoid. The M resort may be in Las Vegas but it gives you an altered version of your typical Vegas Vacation.
Sleep With fewer than 400 rooms the M Resort is not concentrating on attracting the masses. Its rooms are spacious and well appointed and you’ll be surprised to see all of the bells and whistles of the luxury resorts on the strip for a fraction of the cost and without a resort fee. If you seek a Las Vegas vacation that will go easy on the budget you can get far more for your money at The M Resort. Splurge just a bit and upgrade to a suite and spread out during your stay. If you really want to go large check out the loft suite that gives you great views of the Las Vegas valley as well as two stories of fun.
Eat It’s no secret that Las Vegas is a culinary gem but you when you seek out a relaxation vacation you want options within your own hotel for a meal that satisfies both on the restaurant experience front as well as on the convenience side. Not to worry, the M Resort does food well. The Las Vegas locals will tell you that the Studio B Buffet is among the best in town and they are correct. You may not be a fan of the buffet experience but you should take a walk around and see what they are doing here. Your fine dining option is at Anthony’s Prime Steak & Seafood where their wine list will have you seeking out a second bottle and their dry aged steaks will make you salivate over a slab of beef. Beers and burgers are key at Anthony’s Gourmet Burgers and Jayde Fuzion will give you some Asian options. Marinelli’s Pasta bar is a delightful surprise when you want a simple Italian dish after a long day of relaxation.
Relax You take one look at the M Resort Pool and you think you could sit there all day long sipping on cocktails reading trashy magazines but I am here to tell you that you can’t do that. You just cannot pass up the opportunity to spend a portion of your day at the Spa & Salon. Spa Mio at M Resort is a full-service relaxation haven that will tempt you to workout in its spacious fitness facility while luring you into one of its treatment rooms for a long massage. Don’t you need a day in the steam room followed by some time in the sauna and then a long soak in a whirlpool? Yes, you do.
Explore When you are in Las Vegas you still want to see a little of the strip even if you decided to stay away from the hustle and bustle. The M Resort Shuttle fixes that for you with a shuttle service to the strip that runs daily from 10 pm until 11:30 pm. You’ll still be able to see strip side attractions like The Park Las Vegas and the LINQ while enjoying you quiet boutique hotel when you get back. Since you are off the strip why not visit Red Rock Canyon or the Hoover Dam?
If leaving the hotel seems like just too much work during your relaxing vacation why not just walk into the Hostile Grape and start working on tasting as many of their 160 wines by the glass. That seems like a good goal for yourself, right?
