The Hotel

The Napa River Inn has been called, “An intimate, boutique hotel privately owned and run by in-the-know-locals. Great location, with wonderful restaurants and a fun destination in the middle of downtown Napa.”

The Inn is locally owned and staffed by an employee base that is predominately Napa natives, and long-time residents. Their love of their community shows in the care they take of the property and guests, and the enthusiasm they have for sharing the little-known details of the town and Valley.

Small town it might be, but the Inn takes its place on the list of some of the world’s most elegant accommodations. Recently awarded Four Star designation by Forbes Travel Guide, the Inn is also downtown Napa’s only Michelin rated hotel.

“It is our staff’s ongoing efforts to provide the highest level of customer service, and consistent delivery of an unforgettable guest experience that put us in the running for such a prestigious award,” said Sara Brooks, Napa River Inn, General Manager. “To have this energy recognized with the distinguished Forbes four-star rating, and to be included among the best-in-class luxury resorts is a great honor.

The Napa River Inn has 66 rooms, many with fireplaces, river views, and balconies. It has two restaurants, nightclub, spa, and a gift shop. It is the perfect alternative to the cookie-cutter big box hotels. Fine dining, shopping, entertainment, and relaxing spa treatments are all within walking distance. Hiking, biking, golfing, balloon rides, and amazing wineries are all an easy drive.

The Historic Hatt/Napa Mill

The Hatt/Napa Mill buildings, where the Inn is located, are the last vestiges of a thriving Main Street industrial and commercial center of the late 1800s and early 1900s Napa City. This historical significance has garnered the complex local landmark status and National Register of Historic Places listing. Within their walls, the Hatt/Napa Mill Buildings have been a warehouse for more than commodities. This complex stores the histories of the lives and times of the owners, workers, and community of Napa, from the past and continuing on and into today.

From that early industry, Napa has re-emerged as a vibrant and joyful downtown. The typical community of the last century (shoe shops and girdles stores) has now transformed into the hub of Napa County’s wine experience. World-class chef’s, restaurants, and cafes are on almost every corner, and acclaimed wine tasting is offered everywhere you look.
