How To Spend Your Spring in Las Vegas

By Zeke Quezada

As we push winter out the door and get our pool bodies ready the anticipation of what Spring has to offer in Las Vegas is enticing. We will be seeking out great food, new adventures and plenty of nightlife to help our treasure trove of secrets.

Spring in Las Vegas

Park MGM is the newest property on the Las Vegas Strip and is rife with opportunities.

Have a meal at Bavette’s for an updated version of the steakhouse experience.  The dry aged ribeye is a stand out in a town with its share of steakhouses and their cocktail program is far more than bourbon on the rocks. Buckle up because their menu of Old Fashioneds will have you sampling the intricate variations on this classic cocktail well into the night.

Nomad is actually a separate property but make your way upstairs and find a spot at the sexy bar and get a taste of the Las Vegas VIP vibe that Nomad is famous for. The NoMad Bar is a pure Las Vegas sexy bar. Forget that the food is worth stopping in for throughout the day, the bar is where you need to scale back your schedule and pontificate over a cocktail.  Order a classic cocktail and then sit around having conversations with your new friends. Can you be flirtatious? Nomad defines flirting.

See a Headliner at the Park Theater. The choices seem endless so all you have to do is decide between Cher, Aerosmith, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Janet Jackson. Yes, one theater and so many great performances to choose from. Take a look at the schedule and decide.

Relatively New Restaurants On The Strip include Eataly at Park MGM  where a giant Italian marketplace comes to life and all of your vices are cared for. Fresh bread, fresh pasta, fresh pizza and of course more Italian wine than you could ever imagine. Toss in an impressive steak concept in Manzo and you could never leave Eataly yet be well fed for your entire Vegas vacation. Seeking out some comfort food Chef Roy Choi brings his SoCal style to Best Friend at Park MGM.

A few more ideas for food in Las Vegas. If you need a side of pasta with your view of Las Vegas Vetri Cucina at Palms is your new date night/special occasion restaurant  and Asian cuisine takes a luxurious twist at Mott 32 at Palazzo

Pool Season is Coming. Spring is when the sunscreen comes out and Las Vegas transforms into a dayclub paradise of adult pool parties and slushie drinks that keep you cool. Where you go really depends on how much action you want. Try Marquee Dayclub at Cosmopolitan or Wet Republic at MGM Grand. The dayclub scene is really another way to mingle with pretty people while dancing and having cocktails. The only difference between night and day is that at the pool you have a lot fewer clothes on. Is that a good thing?

If you are just looking for a great pool experience try The Sky Suites VIP treatment at Aria Las Vegas is a great option. The total VIP treatment at the Sky Pool includes complimentary drinks, luxurious amenities and is exclusive to guests of the Aria Sky Suites.  Try Bellagio Las Vegas for a luxurious pool day and toss in a poolside message while you are it or choose Cosmopolitan for a pool day on the verge of a party or Caesars Palace for a series of pool experiences that can range from placid and restful to body shots and cannonballs.
