Pat Vinatieri has always known that his Italian family name Vinatieri means literally “wine maker.” So it is no wonder that he developed an interest in wine making early in life. In 1970 while he was traveling in northern Italy, France, Morocco, and Spain he tried many different wines, exploring their various characteristics and developing his knowledge of wine. Ultimately, he decided that Italian wine was his favorite and began researching the techniques of the wine makers in northern Italy. As he traveled through various regions he would seek out the premiere wine-master whose wine was considered the best in that region to find out his techniques. He began to find similarities in the various wine-master’s techniques and began to understand why their wines were better than the rest. He took note of these traditional Italian wine making techniques and eventually put them into practice in his own vineyard.
For years Tim and Steph Busch dreamed of creating a small-production winery in Napa Valley with a focus to enrich peoples' lives with memorable experiences. Their vision led to Trinitas Cellars, a family owned and operated winery in the heart of Napa. Second generation Proprietors, Garrett and Betsy Busch now lead the mission of connecting people and wine. Winemaker Kevin Mills captures the elements of sun, soil and humanity, the "Trinity", into each bottle produced. Now in its 16th year, Trinitas Cellars continues to blend unique wines and unforgettable moments.

Highway 12 is atypical of other wineries in that we make use of a number of different growing appellations to create our wines. Our wines offer insight into these various growing areas while maintaining a unique style that sets it apart from other wineries. We traverse the iconic appellations of Sonoma, Napa and the foothills of the Sierras to find the perfect grapes, putting our longstanding friendships with growers to perfect use. Our 3 generations of winegrowing family heritage are apparent with every sip.
Nicholson Ranch Nestled in the southern foothills of Sonoma, the vineyards of Nicholson Ranch are planted in one of the world’s most prized grape-growing regions. We are located at the intersection of Napa and Sonoma where four of California’s best appellations meet. Nicholson Ranch enjoys a combination of soils, sloping hills and climate that is ideal for producing premium grapes for our handcrafted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah. Our grapes are grown naturally and sustainably. All our wines are made from grapes grown on our 40 acre Estate, fermented in small batches and aged for as long as three years in French oak barrels. I invite you to visit and taste our award winning wines. Nicholson Ranch Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs have won Double Golds and Best of Class awards for the past five years in the San Franciso Chronicle wine competition, the largest judging of American wines in the world.
